About Melissa Young

Melissa  Young lives in Simcoe ON, with husband Jeff and daughter Lille  along with their four dogs and one cat.  She has a background in  business having graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of  Commerce in Information Technology and Design.  Prior to owning her own  business, Melissa worked in the banking and insurance industries.  After  giving birth to her daughter in 2011, Melissa new that it was time for a  lifestyle change and hired a personal trainer.  Within a year she was  training on her own in her basement gym.  Her friends and family took  notice and started asking for her help, so after a few months of  training her friends and family, she enrolled in the Personal Training  Certification through CanFitPro and was officially certified.  Over the  course of the next few months, Melissa made the transition from working  for State Farm Insurance to launching Forever Young Family Fitness.

Since  then, she has worked with hundreds of clients through personal  training, skype training, group classes, and most recently in 2018,  through her online fitness challenge groups which sometimes draw up to  70 participants at a time.

Melissa  has a true passion for the health and fitness industry.  She prides  herself in helping clients succeed and meet their goals with using  realistic expectations and the middle ground approach.  She understands  that everyone's lifestyle is different and there is no "one fits all"  approach.  Each program is tailored to the specific individual.

Melissa  is a certified personal trainer with CanfitPro, a qualified TRX  instructor, a Healthy Eating and Weight Loss Coach, Certified in the level 1 Precision Nutrition and has received her mobility specialist certification.  She  prides herself in always learning and researching in order to provide  her clients with the best possible programs.

A little fun fact...Melissa has an ever changing hair style/colour, she may be blonde one day with shoulder length hair and a short black pixie cut the next.  Keeps her clients on their toes!
